Research

Since its creation in 1985, the Center for Quality and Productivity Improvement has developed a range of new techniques for improving the quality of products and processes. The areas of expertise of the Center have widened, and the domains of research include industrial, service, governmental, health care, educational, and social organizations.

Major research support has come from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the National Institute on Aging (NIA), The Department of Defense, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the UW Graduate School, the State of Wisconsin, and private industry.
